Bernie was on a path to victory, and it was looking increasingly grim for Biden. Then Black voters in South Carolina voted in a bloc to give him that primary, a couple of the last real contenders in the primary dropped out, and a slew of endorsements for Biden came down from the conservadems, the most important being Obama. They created the perfect storm and tanked Bernie. He did have a real chance, the best chance progressives have had since the 60s. But Obama stabbed him in the back.
