Good job, and a perfect response to a serious issue in the US. Jingoistic support of law enforcement personnel is badly misplaced and gives cops support for bad actions.

Cops are public employees, just like firefighters, school teachers, and county clerks. They are workers like everyone else, paid by our tax dollars. If their job is risky, compensate them for the risk. But worshipping them as if they were special citizens anointed from on high is wrong and damaging to the rest of society.
