Rather than painting all White people with a racist brush, the author points out in a clear voice a small part of the many racist, prejudiced, and stereotyping things that White people do or say. Whether or not you personally have said things like this, it is still important to hear them so we can recognize other things we or others might say, and to check our attitudes. We have to be vigilant and put an end to this.
