I have to disagree with this, even though I think your sentiments are right on. In the past I would not wish death or misery on most anyone (with a few exceptions like Idi Amin). But that self-restraint has pretty much disappeared. I find myself not caring about these people dying, I am just all out of fucks to give. Don't forget that none of these people would give a rat's ass if a liberal died.

This in turn makes me even more unhappy. The hatred and vitriol of the past decade has turned me jaded and bitter. I greatly resent when something changes me. But I have changed, and I don't see any way back.
