I retired a few years ago, about 6 months earlier than planned because I could no longer stand my boss, so I quit. I estimate that I lost about 80-100 grand counting lost bonuses and everything. But I have never regretted it for a second. After 50 years of work, school, or work/school, I absolutely love retirement.
