Interesting, many truths. After reading and debating Sentell's article on "militant atheism", I did some research on the term. There is one version that has it mean aggressively pushing that there is no God. Then I watched a Ted Talk with Richard Dawkins. In his version, a militant atheist doesn't hide his atheistic beliefs behind labels like agnosticism. Very similar to your thoughts here. I call myself an atheist, and I am more willing to do so as more and more of us come out of the closet.
