Normally I blanch at the mention of White privilege, being White and all. But this is probably the quintessential example of White privilege. Thanks for this story, I didn't know about all this. This is sickening. I wasn't anywhere near there, but I feel ashamed. Until all people are treated with EQUAL levels of respect, dignity, and trust, and given equal opportunity and support, we can't claim to be a civilized society.
