Thank you. I wholeheartedly agree with you that prejudice and racism aren't the same thing. The way I see it, racism occurs when prejudices become weaponized, when they are turned into some action that hurts or offends, and that can be with words as much as physical activity. I am aware of most of my prejudices and I fight against them, and I try never to let them out in public. I have failed a few times, and I'm not proud of it, but I try.

I recognize there is lots of racism, both personal and systemic, and honestly I was not aware until the last decade or so just how bad it was for Blacks. I understand the concept of White privilege also. What I push back against is absolutism. When I read "all" or "every", or even "White people do this ..." I can't keep my keyboard quiet. We need to be able to talk to each other about this.
