Thanks for your take on this. The only quibble I have is that I do not remember seeing anybody worrying about trans women taking over women's sports. Of course not all trans women will be superior and the numbers are miniscule.

The debate mostly centers around individual matches - one trans woman with a superior edge caused by prior male development could negate years of training and effort by an otherwise elite woman, and that would be grossly unfair. If Caitlan Jenner was younger there would not be a woman in the world who could compete with her in pentathlon sports. The number of instances of this issue is very small, but transgender transformations are becoming more accepted and widespread.
