The richest country in the world can't afford what other developed but poorer countries can. Because in America, income, wealth, profits, go mostly into the accounts of the very richest. What used to be the middle class is now the working poor, and descending further every day. The uber-riche, on the other hand, have gotten bored with their 200 ft yachts and are now focused on rockets to space.
