There are plenty of men whose lives have been ruined by false accusations. If you've ever had that happen to you, you will understand Gilliam's point.

There is a growing trend out there, which is quite visible on this site, that if you are White you are racist, if you are male you are misogynist, if you are straight you are a homophobe. There is very little middle ground in articles discussing these issues, everything is expressed in absolutes, there is no nuance. Some is for effect and the author will admit somewhere in the article that there are exceptions. For some authors there are no exceptions. Either way, at a time when we should be working together to end police brutality, racial and gender discrimination, and promote equality, our discourse on these subjects has completely broken down and become polarized.
