Truth be told, many manual labor jobs are as well paid or even better than office jobs. Plus, the future is in tech and science and coding. Men are still the majority in these fields. Society changes up and down, back and forth.

Besides, it would be good for the country to let women run things for a while. They could not possibly do worse. I say that, and then I hear something by MTG or Qbert and have doubts about the wisdom of that.

I question the importance of women marrying up in our new world. Besides it becoming harder, money is not the best criteria for choosing a mate. I have a Ph.D. and extensive experience as an economist and risk manager. But 4 of the women in my life made or make more money than me. It has never been a problem for either me or them. We have to adjust with the times.
