Very well designed and delightfully written. With references!

I had never explored Pascal's Wager before, although I had heard the term, but I always had to answer it when presented with "But what if you're wrong?"

But the wager does not simply focus on one question, "do you believe in God?" As you describe, it requires a belief in a self-absorbed God who will not reward you for being good in your life on Earth, but will only reward you if you believe in her. And some claim that your probability of eternal bliss is a direct correlation to the strength of your belief. So God doesn't have to be a monster, just an arrogant self-absorbed bastard.

Nah, sorry, can't accept that.

Thanks for the references. I really want to read the whole metadata study, but I had to register with Sage publications, and they are reviewing my request to see if I'm worthy.
