Well, you may be, for many of us there is no "Him", and that is due not to arrogance, but deliberate rational thinking and logic, evaluating that there is no evidence and that the claims are preposterous. Like this one. Eat a piece of fruit and suddenly you know good and evil?

My take is that, if this silly story were true, Adam and Steve were the first people to engage in scientific inquiry, questioning things they shouldn't, and God was having none of that.
