We didn't see bodies like this growing up because they were not the norm. We didn't even have a fetish about thinness then, yet most women were not fat. We have grown, literally, as a society. Today we have cries for inclusivity because being overweight is practically the norm in America. The average woman today weighs as much as the average man in the 60s. I don't want to demean any individual woman for her size, but as a society it is a population health issue. And this increase in girth is not just a female issue, it is just as big an issue for men.
