We don't have to know the reason that the universe exists to know that it is not due to some supernatural being that looks like us. There is always mounting evidence of things we don't know yet. We observe and discuss and measure and test and draw conclusions based on the evidence. But the fact that all evidence has not appeared to allow us to know everything about everything does not negate the evidence we do have of the things we do know about.
