Well, to be honest I have for several years been promoting the idea of dissolution, but not by civil war. We are so completely polarized that it is clearly geographic. I think we would be better off if we let the Confederate South go its own way, and take the Red Middle with them. At least I would like to see the Left Coast secede and form a new union. We are no longer united states now, and I see no way we will ever be united again, and we should stop pretending and clinging to a mythical past.
