Yes, it would be so much better if politicians would act like reasonable people. But that ship has sailed. I see absolutely nothing happening today that could possibly change it. I see secession as the only feasible option. It would be disruptive for a while, but it does not have to lead to disaster. If we do it by state, the institutions are already in place. Each new "nation" could create a constitution that is substantially superior to the US constitution. And if the people want it bad enough, we could simply elect politicians on the single position of supporting secession, and it would not have to lead to civil war, which is where we are headed without secession.,
